Margaret Geanisis is a graduate of
the School of Fashion Design, Boston, MA,
She started painting at sixteen, working in pastels and oils and studying under Ella Buzzotta of Arlington, MA.
While in college she became adept at watercolors through her illustration classes. During a fifteen year hiatus from her art, Margaret worked in management positions for
Filene's and was the Library Assistant at the Groton-Dunstable Middle School. Now back at art for many years she has studied with Martin Ahearn,ASW of Rockport;
Paul George of Rockport, William Harland of Littleton; and has taken courses at the DeCordova Museum.
Margaret is fascinated by light, both
direct and reflected. Her paintings capture
the essence of the mood which the lighting creates.
She is represented by The Cottage Gallery in Concord,MA, "Picture Yourself" in Chelmsford,MA and at her studio by
appointment.
